A little ray of sunshine. A little ray of sunshine.
It's almost 3 years to the day since our Chaplain It's almost 3 years to the day since our Chaplain Matthew joined us. On Thursday we will say goodbye to Matthew as he embarks on his new journey as a teacher. From the bottom of our hearts we wish him well.

Thank you Matthew for everything, including the love and the laughs. It's a big thumbs up from us!
🚢 Seafarers need hope at Christmas. 🎄 Two o 🚢 Seafarers need hope at Christmas. 🎄

Two of our #PortPartners Port Waratah Coal Services and Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group joined us yesterday to prepare Christmas packs for Seafarers.

Far from home, the only Christmas present a Seafarer receives is the one you give.

Thank you to the enthusiastic and generous teams who made it a day full of goodwill and hope!

For these Seafarers, this delivery of @@dominos_au For these Seafarers, this delivery of @@dominos_au and @krispykreme and Christmas gift packs (all paid for with your donations!) was as if all their birthdays and Christmases had come at once!

Annalise from Dominos had no idea how happy the pizza she dropped into us was about to make these Seafarers, none of whom have stepped foot ashore in Newcastle since before March 2020.

As we got back in the bus to leave the Port Waratah Coal Services terminal, we could hear the singing of "Happy Birthday to You!" booming from up on deck!

Happy Birthday mate, may you get home soon!

If you'd like to give so that we can keep delivering hope, or if you'd just like to find out more, please visit https://mtsnewcastle.org.au
